HDMS 2014 will have two tracks of submissions.

The first track will include papers (or tutorials, demonstrations, and panels) recently accepted in top international conferences or journals in the areas of data management and mining. Specifically, for a submission to qualify for this track it should have been accepted at most 2 years before the HDMS 2014 submission deadline at any of the following venues: SIGMOD, PODS, VLDB, ICDE, EDBT, ICDT, KDD, WWW, PODS, TODS, TKDD, VLDBJ, TKDE, CIDR, TWEB, and Information Systems magazine. To submit to this track, please choose the “Automatically Accepted Submissions” radio button at the paper submission site.

The second track will include original work and also accepted papers in venues that do not qualify for the first track, which will be considered for presentation and inclusion in the unofficial HDMS proceedings after peer-review. To submit to this track, please choose the “Peer-reviewed Submissions” radio button at the paper submission site. To save the time of the organization committee, please do not choose this track if your submission qualifies for the first track, as explained in the previous paragraph.

To help the Greek community form a consistent corpus of relevant terminology, all accepted papers, must be accompanied by (i) title, and (ii) abstract in GREEK.

This information is not required for submission; authors of accepted papers will be required to upload this information together with their camera-ready paper.

Proposals for tutorials, panels and research prototype demonstrations should either be in their original format (if already accepted in major database conferences), or they should not exceed two (2) pages, including the speakers, panelists, and the general concept of the proposal. Due to the short symposium duration, we don’t expect more than one tutorial and one panel to be accepted for inclusion in the program.
